Some of the state’s favourite camping destinations are now open for bookings over the peak summer season with new and improved facilities thanks to the Victorian Government’s Great Outdoors program.
Football has been given a boost in Mill Park with the Victorian Government announcing funding to the City of Whittlesea to upgrade the facilities at Hillsview Recreation Reserve in South Morang.
Five vital new community projects in Whittlesea – including a new centre for older people’s services, upgrades to playgrounds and outdoor spaces, to Mill Park library and an energy efficiency program – will receive more than $2.45 million from the Andrews Labor Government’s Growing Suburbs Fund, now approved by Local Government Minister Shaun Leane.
Whittlesea Community Connections is set to share in joint funding of almost $30 million from the Andrews Labor Government, and the Commonwealth, for community legal centres across the state to respond to coronavirus (COVID-19).
