MORE THAN HALF A MILLION JOBS FOR VICTORIANS UNDER LABOR

More than half a million jobs have been created under the Andrews Labor Government.

The latest ABS data shows 503,300 Victorians have found work across the state since the Government was first elected in November 2014.

Close to 330,000 of these jobs were full-time.

More people have found a job in Victoria over the past five years than in Queensland, South Australia, Western Australia and Tasmania combined.

Victoria’s jobs growth rate since November 2014 of 17.2 per cent is the highest in the nation and outpaced the national average by more than 5 percentage points.

Over the year to September, a total of 103,200 people found a job in Victoria – the largest increase in jobs of all the states.

In September alone, 8,600 people found a job – 7,800 of these were full-time positions.

Victoria’s unemployment rate dropped 0.2 percentage points in September to just 4.7 per cent, well below the national unemployment rate of 5.2 per cent.

Since the Labor Government was first elected, Victoria’s unemployment rate has dropped from 6.7 per cent.
